Solent Sky News Items 14th December 2007 BRITIANS FIRST AEROPLANE TO FLY AGAIN. The Solent Sky Museum have successfully launched their tribute to Britain's first aviator by unveiling the progress on the Cody Flyer replica at Hawker Restorations. Samuel Cody was the first man in Britain to achieve sustained powered flight on 16th October 1908. The Replica is due to fly in 2008 to mark one hundred years of British aviation. More details.....
